Plug Plants
Most of our plants are produced in 72-cell flats, such as the one pictured above. The plants in these trays have fully developed root systems, in cells about 2 inches deep. They are just the right size and vigor for planting on a roof. They start growing right away when installed, and depending on spacing will fill in as a complete mat of vegetation within one to two growing seasons. All flats are $40, which is about 55 cents per plant. Orders of 200 flats or more receive volume discounts.

We can also grow plugs in larger or smaller cells to your specifications. Larger cells, such as 32 cell trays, have larger plants, but there are fewer in a tray. Smaller cells, such as 128 cell trays, support smaller plants, but more of them. We find a 72-celled flat to be the best option but are happy to use other sized trays for your project.
